DDN was founded at the beginning of the seismic shift in the storage industry, a shift marked by the explosion content-rich environments, big data. From government and media applications, DDN’s high bandwidth storage systems grew into a mainstay of high-performance computing for both research and commercial applications. As the needs of customers changed, so did DDN, and the incorporation of small file performance and data management features opened new avenues.
